Chequered Copper Butterflies were rediscovered nearby in Pakapakanthi (Adelaide City Council Eastern Parklands) and are having their grass habitat protected and monitored. The caterpillar has a fascinating relationship with ants who herd them to feed on Native Sorell. The Fallen logs were positioned as seating and habitat in the native revegetation area near the creek in the old olive grove at the Eastern end of Angas Street.
